IIBA® Publication Terms and Conditions

This publication agreement is effective between the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®), and you (the Author).

You submit to IIBA a manuscript of the work as listed in the online Publication Submission, for IIBA’s review and consideration with respect to publication in IIBA’s publications.

You retain all copyright in the work submitted to IIBA and assign the right to publish the work in any format or medium worldwide to IIBA. You agree not to publish the work elsewhere for three (3) months after the initial online publication by IIBA. If you publish the work after three (3) months have passed since the initial online publication by IIBA, you agree to provide a reference to IIBA’s original online publication.
Author’s Compensation: You are not entitled to, and IIBA is not obligated to pay, any compensation or royalties.
Editing the Work: IIBA will have the right to edit the work in consultation with you prior to publication.
Author’s Warranties & Covenants: You have full and unconditional power and authority to grant these rights, the manuscript is your own original work, the work has not before been published and does not violate the rights of privacy of others. When published, the assigned work will not infringe any copyright or violate any statutory right or any proprietary right at common law. You agree not to publish the work elsewhere for three (3) months after the initial online publication by IIBA. If published after three (3) months, you will provide a reference to IIBA’s original online publication.
Quoted Material: You will identify all material for which copyright or other intellectual property right is owned or claimed by anyone other than yourself. You will obtain written permission to reproduce and distribute the identified intellectual property or revise the work to remove it.

 

NON-DISCLOSURE

  • You understand that during your work with IIBA, you may have access to information, documents and records of a private and confidential nature. You agree to protect and maintain such confidential information in the strictest of confidence and to use the confidential information only for the purposes of performing your assignment as a volunteer
  • You will not use any confidential information for personal benefit or for the benefit of third parties
  • You will not publicize any confidential aspect of your work with IIBA by any medium of communications
  • This Agreement shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

It is expected that volunteers/contributors not place themselves in a position of either a perceived or real conflict of interest.

 

A conflict of interest can be any situation where you, your relatives, business partners, friends, or employers, are perceived to receive any undue benefit or advantage because of your volunteer work with IIBA.

 

You declare that you do not have a conflict of interest. You further acknowledge your ongoing obligation to disclose to the IIBA Volunteer Administrator all actual or perceived conflicts of interest which may exist during your tenure as a volunteer of IIBA.

 

If there is a conflict of interest or a perceived conflict of interest, you will provide a comprehensive written submission of the complete nature of the actual or perceived conflict(s) of interest to the Volunteer Administrator at volunteer@iiba.org. Include your name, date, and signature.

 

AGREEMENT WITH TERMS AND CONDITIONS: You confirm you have read the IIBA Publication Terms and Conditions and agree with them. You will abide by all the obligations and the policies contained in this agreement or as otherwise directed to you by IIBA.
